Films on the Broadway Pier: Films On The Pier is a free film series presented at the end of the Thames Street Pier in Fell’s Point. Back to School at Eastpoint Mall: Eastpoint Mall will be hosting its annual Back-To-School event on August 9 from 12 p.m.–4 p.m. at Center Court. Customers who present receipts totaling $50 or more from any Eastpoint Mall store will receive a backpack filled with a few first-day-of-school essentials. Softball League Registration: Baltimore Recreation and Parks’ 2014 fall softball league registration is now open. Please see city’s league list for each one’s projected start date, format and other details. Games start as early as 6 p.m. and, occasionally, as late as 10 p.m. One-hour time limit per game. Monday through Thursday leagues have at least six-week schedules, and all teams qualify for postseason tournament. Start dates are approximately the first week of September, but dependent on summer season makeup schedule. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday doubleheader leagues will have at least eight-week schedules, including a postseason tournament. Leagues are to begin second week of August. City Pools: Park Pool hours: Monday–Friday 12:30-7 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays 12:30- 7 p.m. Pool admission fees for the 2014 swim season are $2 for park pools. Rec and Parks also offers Summer Season Passes for park pools for $30. Pools remain open until September 1 (Labor Day).
Preschool Program: United Evangelical Church’s PACT preschool program (Parents and Teachers Together) has fall 2014 openings for 3-year-olds.
