Baltimore’s Showcase of Nations Ethnic Festivals are held throughout the summer and fall. Admission rates may apply and hours will vary. Among the attractions are crafts, foods, dances, live entertainment and special ceremonies.
The first festival of the season is the Polish Festival: May 29-31, in Patterson Park. Then, from June 11-14, there’s the St. Nicholas Greek Folk Festival, held in Greektown at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church.
The Highlandtown Community Association is sponsoring Blockenstein09, a monster community yard sale and block party, on May 30, on Bank Street between S. East and S. Ellwood avenues, with yard sale 8 a.m.-noon. Open to all Highlandtown residents to participate as sellers.
