Fell’s Point shop robbed in daylight

An armed robbery occurred at a Fell’s Point clothing shop last weekend.

Police confirmed that on Saturday, June 28, at approximately 12:13 p.m., a man entered babe. (a boutique) at 1716 Aliceanna St., approached the register, pointed a “kitchen-style” knife at the victim, who was staffing the register, and demanded money.

The victim handed over the money, $73, and the suspect, described as a white male in his 40s with a blonde ponytail and scruffy facial hair, fled. The suspect is described as being around 6 feet tall, 190-210 pounds, and was wearing a hoody with the writing “Old Navy” on it.

Representatives from babe. declined to comment on the incident.

In response to concerns expressed by an area resident regarding armed robberies of women-owned businesses, Lt. Sarah Connolly of Media Relations said that police believe the babe. robbery was isolated. Connolly also said that she had spoken with the Police Department’s Citywide Robbery Unit, which stated the same.

The incident is currently under investigation, Connolly said.
