Patterson point guard Aquille Carr has officially announced he will be heading to Seton Hall for college.

Carr, a junior at Patterson, originally had a press conference scheduled for Thursday at 10:30 a.m. But Patterson’s involvement with the High School Assessment testing this week nixed the plan.

Coach Harry Martin, in an email, confirmed that Carr chose Seton Hall.

Late last week, Carr hinted on Twitter that he was headed to Seton Hall. He tweeted, “Thanks to everybody that push me to make it to were im at #seton hall.” Martin didn’t confirm the announcement until Tuesday.

Carr chose the Pirates over a slew of schools that included Kentucky, Memphis, Baylor and Wake Forest.
