Lenten Raffle: St. Casimir Home & School Association has a raffle for a chance to win dinner for two every Friday during Lent, courtesy of the school’s Lenten foods program. Each Friday, the winner gets a coddie dinner with sides, valued at $23 weekly. Donation: 1 ticket for $5, 5 tickets for $20. Drawing to be held on Tuesday, March 8. Lenten Foods: St. Casimir Catholic School, 1035 S. Kenwood Avenue, has its Lenten foods. Available are: Coddies (fried for $2.50 each, unfried for $2.25), Crab cakes (fried for $5.50, unfried $5.25), Salads: Potato, Macaroni and Cole Slaw for $2.50 each per pound. For Ash Wednesday, place orders by Friday, March 4. All other orders have Wednesday pickup between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. To place orders before 5 p.m., call Mrs. Brunelli 410-342-4975. Paczki Dinner and Dance: St. Casimir’s Holy Name Society and the Polish American Heritage Committee host a Paczki (Doughnut) dinner and dance on Sunday, March 6, 1 p.m.-6 p.m. in the Kolbe Center, O’Donnell Street and Kenwood Avenue, $25/person with music by Joy and hot platter. Info: 410-675-0415.

Pancake Supper: Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 8212 Philadelphia Road in Rosedale, has its Shrove Tuesday pancake supper on March 8, 4 p.m.-7 p.m. with pncakes, sausage, applesauce and beverage, $6 adults, $3 ages 6-12, free for under age 6. SOS (Study-over-Soup): Old Otterbein Church, 112 W. Conway Street, holds a Lenten soup-study series on Wednesday evenings from March 9-April 13. Soup supper starts at 6:30 p.m., followed by study from 7 p.m.-8 p.m. This year’s study will focus on “Hard to Dance with the Devil on Your Back,” by Ray Buckley since, in every culture and time, persons of faith have “danced” through adversity, sustained by God and others dancing near them.
