The Allen Center

The Allen Center is open Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The following are regularly scheduled activities on most days (exceptions include holidays, etc.):

9:30 a.m., Trip talk; 10 a.m., board games; 10:30 a.m., Spanish class; 11 a.m., Exercise with John; noon, lunch; 12:45 p.m., Monday bingo

10 a.m., Nutrition class; 10:30 a.m., board games; noon, lunch; 12:45 p.m., Wii bowling

10 a.m., Board games; noon, lunch
12:45 p.m. Po-Ke-No (BYO pennies)

10 a.m., Computer class; 11 a.m., line dancing with John; noon, lunch; 12:45 p.m., Friday entertainment

Wednesday, April 18: Members meeting, 1 p.m.
Wednesday, April 25, Spring bingo at the center.  11:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.  Lunch served at 11:30 a.m.  Cost includes lunch, 20 games of bingo, prizes, and door prizes.  Extra cost for specials and tombola chances. Cost:  $15.
Wednesday, May  2, Good junque bingo, 12:15 p.m.  Free to center members. Win something might like to keep.
Wednesday, May 9,  Fish fry with the chef. Cost: $6 center members; $9.00 non-center members. The chef will be at the center frying fish.  Salads and vegetables, milk and dessert come with the meal.  Make reservations by May 1.
Thursday, May 10, Podiatrist, 10:30 a.m.-noon
Friday, May 11, blood pressure screening,10 a.m. Oral cancer screening, 10 a.m.
Wednesday, May 16, Members meeting, 1 p.m.
Tuesday, May 22, Senior Division trips to Friendly Farms. Call center for more information.  Must sign up by  May 4.
Wednesday, May 23, Sunshine Luncheon.  Join us as we celebrate our members  85+ years of age. Luncheon cost:  $3 for 85+ members, $6 all other members and guests of members, $9.00 non-center members.  Make reservations by May 14.
Wednesday, May 30, Make spring crafts, 12:30 p.m.  Cost: $1  to members.
Eating Together in Baltimore Lunch is served daily at 11:30 a.m. to Eating Together Members.  Suggested donation is $1.25.  Must sign up 3 days before date wanted.
Bingo is played every Friday beginning at 12:15 p.m.  Info: call the center.

The Hatton Center
Fait and Linwood avenues, Canton

Hatton is sponsoring a bus trip to Mountain Gate for bingo and lunch on Monday May 14 with a stop at the Jelly Factory. Call the center for details.

It is time to re-register as a Hatton Center member for 2012, Come sign up and bring a friend!

The House Council meeting will be held Tuesday, April 24 at 12:30 p.m. The Information Meeting will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25, after blood pressure checks at 12:15.

Regular activities
May 2: The Book Club will discuss “Long Drive Home.” May 9: Health and Fitness at 10 a.m.: Chair Yoga with Kerry Martinez. May 16: Legal Help; call the center for an appointment. May 23: Blood pressure checks at 12:15 p.m. followed by the Information Meeting at 1 p.m. Lunch is served at 11:30 a.m.
May 3, 10, 17, 24, 31: exercises at 9 a.m., Wii at 9:30, aerobics at 10:30, and lunch at 11:30.
Computer class is held noon-1:30 p.m. “Drums Alive,” a new class for exercise, started April 5. Info: call the center.

May 4, 11, 18, 25: art class at 10 a.m., bus to Wal-Mart at 10 and bingo at 12:30 p.m.

May 7, 14, 21: exercise at 9 a.m., card playing at 10:30 and eating together at 11:30. Massage will be given by appointment on May 7 and 21 starting at 10 a.m. Red Hatters will meet May 21 at 11 a.m. Card players wanted; call the center for details.
Monday May 28: All senior centers will be closed for Memorial Day.

May 1, 8, 15, 22, 29: Wii at 9 a.m., Water Aerobics at 9:30, Spanish at 1:30 p.m. The House Council will meet May 22.
The Hatton Center will host a screen painting class on Saturday, May 26. We are working out the details now. Call the center to sign up.
The Hatton Center will be closed Monday May 28 for Memorial Day.
