
Dwayne Goodwin
WANTED-Detectives in the Southeastern District of the Baltimore Police Department are seeking Dwayne Goodwin (shown left), age 18, in connection with a series of armed robberies in the area. He is considered to be armed and dangerous, and may be working with an accomplice. Goodwin is African American, standing 6’ tall and weighing 195 pounds. Anyone who sees him is asked not to approach or detain him, but instead to contact Det. Pegues at 410-396-2429.

Robbery
E. Fayette Street, 3300 block, July 24, 1:45 a.m. A man told police that he was sitting at a bus stop when a second man sat down next to him and said, “Give me your watch.” The first man haånded over the property and the suspect fled. The man got on his bus and went home, trying unsuccessfully to call police. He went to sleep, woke up later and reported the crime.
S. Lakewood Avenue, 800 block, July 23, 12:52 a.m. A woman told police that she was out walking with her boyfriend when two men pointed a handgun at her face and said, “Don’t move; give it up,” and robbed her of her purse and phone, as well as her keys.
E. Lombard Street, 1600 block, July 23, 6:35 p.m. A man told police that another man had approached him, stuck a white-handled gun in his face and said, “Give me your money.” Upon being told he did not have anything, the thief struck the man in the face with the gun and fled.
E. Fayette Street, 3000 block, July 23, 9:40 p.m. A woman told police that she was out with her 5-year-old daughter when two men attacked her and stole her purse containing $541 cash.
E. Lombard Street, 3800 block, July 19, 6:58 p.m. A woman entered a discount store and tried to shoplift $6 worth of items. When an employee tried to detain her, the woman threw a bottle of iced tea at him. Another employee tried to restrain the woman, who bit her on the arm. The suspect kept asking employees and the police if she could call someone who would pay for what she had taken so that she could go home. She was arrested and charged with shoplifting as well as assault.
N. Castle Street, 200 block, July 19, 11:45 a.m. A UPS driver told police that while he was making deliveries, a man walked up behind him and pressed his chest against the driver’s back and said, “I have a gun. Give me your wallet. Only pull out your wallet.” The driver pulled out his box cutting knife and threatened the suspect, who fled. He was later identified and arrested.
N. Montford Avenue, 200 block, July 19, 12:10 p.m. A man told police that he was out walking with his girlfriend when three teenagers told him, “Kick the s–t out,” and beat him with a wooden stick. The woman stood by as the man was being assaulted. The man dropped his cell phone and money and the suspects picked them up and fled.
McElderry Street, 3100 block, July 19, 4:04 p.m. Two men walked into a grocery store and attacked an employee. One grabbed money from the register and the other then hit the employee in the face with a handgun. Both then fled.
Fleet Street, 2300 block, July 18, 11:30 p.m. A man told police he was leaving a seafood restaurant where he works and was talking on his phone when a man walked up and threatened him with a gun. The suspect then grabbed the man’s cell phone and fled.
N. Chester Street, unit block, July 18, 12:50 a.m. Four people (two men and two women) told police they had been arrived by two men, one of whom threatened them with a gun and said, “Give me everything.” They robbed the four of cell phones, wallets, purses, cash and credit cards. One suspect was wearing a Yankees ball cap and the other had shoulder-length braided hair.
E. Pratt Street, 1100 block, July 18, 12:26 a.m.A man told police that he and his cousins were out walking when two men (one of whom was described as wearing a Yankees cap and the other as having shoulder-length braided hair) asked them, “Do you know of any strip clubs nearby?” They then threatened the group with a handgun and robbed them of a purse, wallet, two cell phones and cash, as well as credit cards and personal documents.
E. Fayette Street, 2400 block, July 18, 11:40 p.m. A man told police that two men, one of whom had shoulder-length braids, and the other close-cropped hair, had threatened him with a handgun and robbed him of his Maryland I.D. and his cell phone.
Elliott Street, 3000 block, July 18, 11 p.m. A woman told police that she and her boyfriend were out walking when a new-model Lexus sedan pulled up beside them and two men, one of whom had chin-length braids and the other had short dark hair, got out and threatened them with a handgun. They handed over cell phones, wallets and a vegetarian pizza, and the suspects fled in the car. The victims did not get a good look at the driver of the car and were unable to provide a description.
Aggravated Assault
1900 block Lemmon St., 1900 block Lemmon St., Tuesday, July 20, 11:56 a.m.: Two brothers argued over a bottle of lotion, and started a fistfight which ended when one stabbed the other in the arm and leg. The victim was taken to Shock-Trauma.
N. East Street, 400 block, July 25, 4:10 p.m. A man told police that while he was sitting at his home, three men burst into the house and attacked him and his wife and destroyed various property.
New Hope Circle, 1000 block, July 24, 3:19 a.m. A woman told police that a man whom she knew only as “Freddie” and with whom she had been arguing previously, had tried to get her to talk to him. The woman told the man she was not interested in talking and he pulled out a gun and held it to her throat and said, “I will shoot you now.” She told him, “Go ahead and do it. You have all the witnesses.” He tried to pull the trigger but the weapon did not fire. He then jumped out a window and fled.
Washington Blvd., 1200 block, July 23, 6:40 a.m. A man told police that he was out riding his bicycle when a teenager whom he did not know had pulled up in a tan Monte Carlo, shot him in the left buttock with a B.B. gun, laughed and drove away.
Mt. Pleasant Avenue, 3600 block, July 23, 9:39 p.m. A man told police that while he and his brother were out walking, a woman had started an argument with his brother. She then indicated that she would be back to “get him,” and she returned with a butcher knife and stabbed the brother. An altercation ensued and the woman ran away. She was found near the scene and arrested.
Bethel Court, 200 block, July 23, 10:15 p.m. An 11-year-old boy told police that a man had cut him, and pointed out the suspect to police. The boy further told police that he had become involved in trying to break up a fight and that the suspect had cut him. The suspect told police that he too had been trying to break up the fight, in which his daughter had been involved, and kept telling police, “The boy was cut by accident,” but was arrested.
S. Caroline Street, 400 block, July 21, 11:45 p.m.. A man told police that he was on a pay phone when a woman hit him in the eye with a stick. The man told police the suspect was short and skinny and black, but could give no other description.
S. Luzerne Avenue, 800 block, July 20, 10:50 a.m. Three police officers were trying to pull a suspect over for a field interview, but the suspect gunned the engine and rammed the police car. The suspect was apprehended and arrested, but did say, “Officer, I’m sorry for running into your car.”
Holabird Avenue, 6700 block, July 20, 5:35 p.m. Police on patrol saw two women arguing outside a bar. Upon noticing the officer’s presence, they stopped arguing and one went back inside and the other sat down on the steps. Immediately afterwards, one woman struck another, cutting her. She was arrested. The two women told police that they had not known each other and were involved in the argument for reasons unknown to them.
N. Robinson Street, 400 block, July 19, 8 a.m. Police responded to a report of a man and woman fighting and found the man suffering from a head wound. The two had been arguing about the air conditioning temperature in the house and woman struck the man on the head with an ashtray. The two then walked off, continuing to argue, which was where the officer had found them. The woman was arrested.
Gough Street, 2100 block, July 15, 11:27 p.m. Two brothers had been drinking together when an argument broke out and one hit the other with a stick. The suspect, who was described as not wearing a shirt, ran away.
Larceny
N. Glover Street, 400 block, July 24, 10:30 p.m. Some loser stole a power wheelchair that was locked outside a house.
S. Oldham Street, 400 block, July 24, 11:30 a.m. Someone stole the temporary tag from a car.
S. Broadway, 100 block, July 23, 4:45 p.m. A man walked into a convenience store and took Honey Buns and tried to run out, dropping the merchandise as he fled. When police arrived to arrest him, he said, “I took it but I put it back.”
S. Ann Street, 600 block, July 23, 10:15 a.m. A man was arrested for stealing a woman’s purse.
Eastern Avenue, 2000 block, July 18, 8:50 p.m. Someone stole the tip jar from an ice cream store.
Burglary
N. Chester Street, 100 block, July 24, 7 p.m. Someone entered a home through a front living room window and took property including a bike, camera, mp3 player, cell phone and more.
Eastern Avenue, 1900 block, July 23, 7 a.m. Someone opened the alley-side window of a house and took a purse and $240 cash.
Gough Street, 3500 block, July 23, 11:34 a.m. Someone broke into a home through a second floor bathroom and took two TVs and a computer.
German Hill Road, 6700 block, July 23, 12:08 p.m. Someone opened a garage door and took a lawnmower, chain saws, a chipper, gas grill and a wheelbarrow as well as other yard tools and supplies.
Eastern Avenue, 2000 block, July 22, 12:25 a.m. Someone broke into a strip bar and took alcohol.
