Neighborhood Watch: Southeast

INFORMATION WANTED-Police detectives are seeking information on a stabbing that occurred on Saturday, March 18 in the 2700 block of E. Fayette Street. According to information from various sources, a man who had previously been acting strange and confrontational had become involved in an argument with several other individuals and was stabbed as a result. He fled into the Whspering Winds Bar, where his assailants pursued him before runnning off. The incident took place between 10:30 p.m.-11 p.m. One of the assailants is described as a slender black male with long dreads or braids. Anyone with information on the suspects or on the incident can contact Det. Richard Moore at 410-396-2429. Callers may remain anonymous.

Robbery
N. Patterson Park Avenue, 100 block, March 23, 7 p.m. A hair salon owner told police that three teens had broken into her workplace, pointed a gun at herself and customers and demanded money. They fled with cash, phones and a handbag.

E. Fayette Street, 1500 block, March 22, 6:30 p.m. A teenaged boy told police that he was out walking with a female friend he knew only as “Shideisha” when a teenaged boy attacked him, took his Nike shoes, and fled.

Aggravated Assault
S. Broadway, 200 block, March 25, 2:47 p.m. Police responded to a report of a stabbing, and found a man bleeding from a cut to the arm. He told police he worked for the property manager of an apartment complex, and that he had been told a resident was defecating and urinating into a bucket, then taking it to the shared bathroom. The man told police he went to talk about the resident about this issue, and the resident pulled a knife on him and attacked him. He was arrested.

Lancaster Street, 1200 block, March 23, 2 a.m. A man told police he became involved in an argument with a man who was panhandling, and that several other men had joined the argument, and had begun to punch and kick him. He was treated at a local hospital.

Bunsen Way, 1300 block, March 16, 6:30 p.m. A woman told police that her teenaged daughter and her boyfriend had gotten into an argument and the boyfriend had choked the girl. He was arrested.

Burglary
S. Broadway, 100 block, March 26, 10 p.m. Someone entered a restaurant through a front door and took a handgun from an office.

N. Luzerne Avenue, 500 block, March 26, 11:20 a.m. Someone entered a home through a rear door and took a scaffold.

S. Chester Street, 400 block, March 25, 8:55 a.m. A security camera captured the image of a man entering a school through a side door and stealing a computer, drill and batteries. Police will follow up since the man is known to the school personnel.

N. Streeper Street, 500 block, March 25, 12:25 p.m. Someone broke into a home through a rear basement door and took copper piping and damaged kitchen cabinets.

Orleans Street, 2300 block, March 24, 1:26 a.m. Someone entered an automotive business through a bay door panel and took a TV. Police were able to get a suspect description based on the fact that the man was going door to door trying to sell the TV.

Larceny
N. Silver Court, 200 block, March 26, 3 p.m. A woman told police that her friend of 24 years had stolen her leather jacket.

Albemarle Street, 200 block, March 25, 5 p.m Someone took a woman’s phone from her jacket pocket while it was hanging in a restaurant hallway.

Holabird Avenue, 4800 block, March 25, 12:20 p.m. Someone stole 10 cases of frozen seafood from a truck. A suspect driving a white pickup, with the possible name of “Eric” was brought to the attention of police. A security camera captured images of the incident.

Eastern Avenue, 6500 block, March 24, 8:55 p.m. A man was arrested for trying to leave a supermarket with frozen pizzas and 15 packets of Febreze aerosols down the back of his pants. The man was found to be carrying several different identification cards in various names. The previous day, a man was arrested for trying to leave the same store with 14 steaks.

Eastern Avenue, 3200 block, March 24, 8:40 p.m. Someone took a wallet left on the pool table at a bar.

Eastern Avenue, 6300 block, March 23, 1:45 p.m. A man was stopped for trying to leave a home improvement store without paying for three bottles of Gain laundry detergent. The man admitted to police that he had no intention of paying for the detergent and that he actually had a court appointment the next day for a previous theft from the store. He had also been barred from the store because of his actions. The day prior, a man was arrested for trying to take a pair of ‘Firm Grip’ work gloves. He was found to be in possession of drugs.

Oldham Street, 200 block, March 23, 7:45 p.m. A woman told police that her close friend, whom she knew only as “Donna” had taken her phone without her permission.

Thames Street, 1600 block, March 21, 4:41 p.m. A woman was arrested for trying to steal beef jerky from a convenience store. She was also found to have stolen a purse from a nearby surf store.

Aliceanna Street, 800 block, March 15, 2:21 p.m. A man was arrested for leaving a sporting goods store with 21 pairs of UnderArmour socks.
