Robbery suspects reportedly tie up residents in basement

Robbery
S. Dallas Ct., 200 block, Aug. 3, 2 a.m. The victim said that he was approached by a suspect, who offered to sell him drugs. The two walked to the rear of the block, and the male suspect pulled out a gun and demanded his money. The victim tried to run, at which time nine other males assaulted him and took his property. They victim asked for his keys back; one of the suspects tossed him his keys. The suspects then walked away.
E. Pratt St., 2200 block, Aug. 3, 1:30 p.m. The victim said that the suspects, male and female, approached him. The male pulled out a gun, racked the slide, and demanded his money. The victim ran away; no property was taken.
Boston St., 3700 block, Aug. 4, 3:35 p.m. The victim said that during an argument with her baby’s father, he got her on the ground and choked her. After the incident, the victim fell to the ground while the suspect was attempting to take her purse. She held on. The suspect reached inside and took her mini purse which contained her money. When he noticed the police, he gave it back. He was arrested.
McElderry St., 2900 block, Aug. 4, 10 p.m. The victim said that he was riding his bike when the suspect–with whom he had had an altercation over a bike awhile back–approached and demanded the bike. He grabbed the handlebars as the victim rode by, forcing him off the bike and causing him to fall to the ground. The suspect took the bike. The victim later led police to the home of the suspect, who was arrested.
S. Highland Ave., 200 block, Aug. 4, 10:55 p.m. The victims were walking when a four-door Cadillac with tinted windows pulled up. Two suspects with handguns got out. One of them pointed his gun at the victims and demanded their property. The victims handed over their property; the suspects lowered their guns and got back into the car, which was driven off by a third suspect, the driver.
Eastern Ave., 5800 block, Aug. 5, 2:30 p.m. The victim said that he and the suspect stopped at the gas station. While the victim was pumping gas, the suspect got out of the vehicle and ran. The victim gave chase and an altercation ensued, in which the suspect got away with the money. During an area canvas, the suspect was located and arrested. The money was returned.
S. Clinton St., 200 block, Aug. 5, 8:30 p.m. The victim said that he walked out of the store and realized the suspect was approaching him quickly from the rear. The victim began to run, so the suspect called out to another nearby male, who struck the victim in the back of the head with his fist. The suspect snatched the victim’s phone from his hand. The victim grabbed one of the suspects’ shirts and started struggling with him. During the struggle, the suspect bit the victim, got free, and fled.
2400 E. Fayette St., Aug. 6, 4 p.m. The victim said that the suspects knocked on her front door and one of the small children inside let them in. The suspects located the victim and several others and forced them into the basement and tied them up. One of the suspects said that somebody owed them money. One of the suspects hit the victim in the head. They forced another victim to them where the family money was. The report ends here.
N. Highland Ave., 200 block, Aug. 7, 8:05 a.m. The victim said he was fixing a machine at the business and walked out to his truck when the suspect approached and demanded all his money. He had his hand by his waist as if armed. The victim gave the suspect his money; the suspect patted him down and took his wallet and keys. The suspect then fled.
S. Broadway, 200 block, Aug. 7, 3:25 p.m. The suspect approached the victim and asked if he could have the iPad the victim was carrying. The victim said no; the suspect followed him into a store and a verbal argument ensued. The suspect left and returned with a knife in his hand and approached the victim. The victim turned and left the store. No property was taken.
Albemarle St., unit block, Aug. 8, 12:23 a.m. The victims, a man and woman, said they were standing in the block when they observed the suspects, also a male and a female, walk past and then come back toward them. The male stated “You know what time it is” and pointed a gun at their faces. The male victim handed over his property; the female victim gave the suspect her purse. He reached inside and took her property. The female suspect stood by silently as this was happening. The suspects then fled.
N. Potomac St., 100 block, Aug. 8, 11:42 p.m. The victim said that the suspect walked up with a silver handgun and demanded his property. The victim handed it over; the suspect fled.

Burglary
N. Linwood Ave., unit block, Aug. 3, 7:07 p.m. Two male suspects entered via an unsecured rear door. They took a cell phone from the counter and fled.
E. Lombard St., 2100 block, Aug. 4, 6 p.m. The victim said that the suspect forced the rear door and made entry. Taken was a revolver, ammunition, a TV and coins.
N. Duncan St., unit block, Aug. 5, 2 a.m. The victim reported that someone entered via the doggy door, took a bike, lock and keys, and left.
S. Duncan St., 200 block, Aug. 6, 1:50 a.m. The victim woke to the sound of breaking glass and called police, who found the suspect between an inside door and broken outside door. He was arrested.
E. Baltimore St., 2100 block, Aug. 5, 6 p.m. Unknown suspects forced the rear door to the business and took a VCR, a scale and a meat slicer.
Fagley St., 900 block, Aug. 5, 3:45 p.m. A suspect entered the construction site, entered an unsecured unit, and took copper wiring and a power drill.
Hudson St., 2900 block, Aug. 5, 11 p.m. An unknown suspect entered the unsecured front door and took house keys, loaner car keys, a cigar humidor, toys, a leather end table, and Prada sunglasses.
Dillon St., 3400 block, Aug. 3, 12 p.m. The suspect forced open the rear door and took a furnace and air conditioning unit.
Eastern Ave., 1600 block, Aug. 6, 1 a.m. Somebody tried to break into a secured room on the fourth floor of the business by prying the door with an unknown too. The attempt was unsuccessful.
S. Wolfe St., 100 block, Aug. 8, 9:30 p.m. An unknown suspect forced open the shed door and took a bike.

Stolen auto
From Aug. 3-9, vehicles were reported stolen from the 1000 block of Fell St. and the 2500 block of Eastern Ave.
