Wednesday: Sept. 25, FutureCare will present a fall prevention program starting with continental breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Call center to sign up. Ms. Baker will discuss HIV and offer FREE HIV testing at 1:30 p.m.
Oct. 16, 10 a.m.-noon, The Maryland Energy Assistance Program will visit the center.
Oct. 23, 1 p.m, Senator Bill Ferguson will visit.

Thursday: October 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31: Video walk at 9:30 a.m., Wii at 10 a.m., aerobics at 10:30 a.m., Eating Together at 11:30 a.m.

Friday: October 4, 11, 18 and 25: Art classes at 10 a.m., bus to Walmart at 10 a.m., and Bingo at 12:30 p.m.

The center is open Mon.-Fri., 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.

Seniors are invited to attend Friday Bingos. Cost is $2 for six cards; money payouts for 21 games. 12:15-3:15 p.m.

Lunches are provided daily to members of the Eating Together in Baltimore Program. It’s easy to become a member; you must be 60+. You must sign up to the lunch three days prior; 10 sign-ups are needed to have the lunch.

October 3: Seps and Balances Session 2: Free, 10:30-noon. Healthy snacks, written handouts, free gift and working with exercises to help prevent falls. Sign up by Oct. 1.

October 9: Waxer Wisdom: Substance Abuse in Older Adults. Free transportation to Waxter Center; sign up by Oct. 1.

October 10: Steps and Balances Session 3: Free, 10:30-noon. Healthy snacks, written handouts, free gift and working with exercises to help prevent falls.
Podiatrist: Dr. Youngworth, 10:3 a.m.-noon. The doctor works with Medicare patients. First come, first served.

October 11: Blood pressure check by a visiting nurse from Hopkins Bayview. No appointment necessary.

October 14: Center closed for Columbus Day.

October 16: Halloween Craft, 12:15 p.m. Sign up so we know how many will attend. Cost is $1 per project.

October 17: Steps and Balances, Session Four. Free, 10:30 a.m.-noon. Healthy snacks, written handouts, free gift and working with exercises to help prevent falls.

October 23: Make candy for Halloween: You will be able to take a sampling home. The rest of the candy we make will be used at the center’s Halloween party. Noon-2 p.m.

October 24: Steps and Balances, Session 4. Free, 10:30 a.m.-noon. Healthy snacks, written handouts, free gift and working with exercises to help prevent falls.

October 30: Screen painting and mosaics. A special demonstration day for the classes offered by the center. 12:15 p.m. Come try your hand, and be surprised by your abilities.

October 31: Halloween Party: Starts at 11:30 a.m. with lunch; party begins at 12:45. Prizes for best costumes; more information to come.
