The center will be closed on Monday, Sept. 2, for Labor Day.

Bus trip to Shady Maple, Saturday, Sept. 14. All you can eat buffet, Amish crafts, Pennsylvania Dutch crafts and gift shop (great Christmas presents), and on-site produce market. Please call the center for details.

Closed Sept. 2 for Labor Day.
Sept. 9, 16, 23 and 30: Video walk 9:30 a.m.; card-playing at 10:30 a.m.; eating together at 11:30 a.m.; Spanish class 1 p.m. Massage will be given by appointment on Sept. 9 and 23 starting at 10 a.m. Red Hatters meet Sept. 16, 11 a.m.

Sept. 3, 10, 17 and 24: Wii at 9 a.m.; eating together at 11:30 a.m. House Council meets Sept. 24, 12:30 p.m. Please call the center if you are interested in water aerobics, a healthy way to exercise.

Sept. 4 Book Club at 12:30 p.m.; we will read “King Peggy” by Peggielene Bartels.
Sept. 18 Legal services by appointment.
Sept. 25 Speaker on fall prevention from Future Care and continental breakfast, 9:30 a.m.  Eating together, 11:30 a.m. Blood pressure check at 12:15 p.m. General information meeting at 1 p.m. Our guest speaker, Ms. Baker from Johns Hopkins, will speak on HIV in seniors. There will also be free HIV testing.

Sept. 5, 12, 19 and 26: Video walk at 9:30 a.m.; Wii at 10 a.m.; aerobics at 10:30 a.m.; eating together at 11:30 a.m.

Sept. 6, 13, 20 and 27: Art class at 10 a.m.; bus to Walmart at 10 a.m.; Bingo at 12:30 p.m.

Sept. 11:  Waxter Wisdom: Important Legal Decisions. Join us for a trip to the Waxter Center for information about making legal decisions that are important to your life. Transportation provided; lunch available. Make your reservations to the center by Aug. 30.

Sept. 12:  Podiatrist: Dr. Youngworth will be on-site from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

Sept. 13Blood pressure check, provided by Johns Hopkins Bayview, 10 a.m.

Sept. 18:  Junque Bingo, 12:15 p.m.. Have fun with our “things you don’t really want or need” Bingo. Free to members.

Sept. 19:  Senior Division bus trip to Queenstown Outlets and Fisherman’s Crab Deck. Call 410-396-2920 for more information.

Sept. 23National Fall Prevention Week: Preview the “Stepping On” for balance program at 10:30 a.m. The program is designed to help improve your balance through knowledge and exercise. Free, with healthy snacks, displays and a free gift. Make your reservations to the center by Sept. 18.

Sept. 25Home on the Range: Memories of the old western movies, 12:15 p.m. Wear your best western gear to win a prize. Snacks provided. Free. Make reservations to the center by Sept. 23.
