S. Bouldin St., 100 block, Jan. 8, 8 a.m. A woman reported that her back door was kicked in between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. A laptop was stolen. The victim was arrested for a CDS violation; according to the report, the crime lab would not process the scene of the crime because she wasn’t there.
Kane St., 400 block, Jan. 8, 3:50 p.m. An officer responded to an alarm call, and found the front door ajar. The officer contacted the owner, who reported only a laptop missing.
Jefferson St., 2700 block, Jan. 9, 7:30 a.m. An unknown suspect broke in via the front basement window, stole a laptop, and fled through the front door.
E. Baltimore St., 3400 block, Jan. 9, 7:30 p.m. A woman said said that while she was home asleep, someone broke in the front door and took a set of keys and a key pad.
Eastern Ave., 2700 block, Jan. 10 12 p.m. An unknown person entered the dwelling, removed various items, and fled.
N. Port St., 200 block, Jan. 10, 10:30 p.m. A man reported that while he was sleeping, a person came in through the unlocked front door, took various electronics, and fled.
N. Kenwood Ave., 200 block, Jan. 11, 8:30 a.m. A woman reported that while she was out, someone went into her home and took various electronics. There were no signs of forced entry.

Herring Ct., 200 block, Jan. 6, 7:50 a.m. A man reported that the suspect wanted to come into his home and drink beer, and he said, “no.” The suspect then sprayed him with pepper spray and fled. A warrant was issued.
E. Fayette St., 2900 block, Jan. 6, 12:30 p.m. A man told police that while he was waiting for the bus, he noticed another man. The man placed a stun gun to his neck and discharged it. The victim fled and called police.
Herring Ct., 200 block, Jan. 8, 1:50 a.m. A woman reported that while standing in her doorway and talking on the phone, a man came up to her and stabbed her with a box cutter knife and fled.
Tolna St., 500 block, Jan. 10 4 p.m. A young teenager told an adult that her stepmother had hit her 24 times with a belt. She was taken to the hospital; the injuries were consistent with a belt. Suspects were arrested.
S. Conkling St., 100 block, Jan. 11, 12:07 p.m. A woman reported that while she was walking, a suspect came up behind her, put her in a choke-hold, and stated “Don’t move; don’t say anything, or I’ll shoot you.” He had one hand in his pocket. The victim screamed; the suspect fled. The victim later identified the suspect, who was arrested by police.
N. Haven St., 100 block, Jan. 11, 10:36 p.m. A man told police he was arguing with his wife, who then picked up a knife and stabbed him in the shoulder. She was arrested.
N. Ellwood Ave., 300 block, Jan. 12, 4:15 p.m. A man said that after a verbal argument, a woman hit him in the face and chest with a broom handle. She was arrested.
S. Eaton St., 100 block, Jan. 12, 5:55 p.m. A man told police that his angry neighbor threw a knife at him, missed, and then hit his back door with a baseball bat. She was arrested.
