Southeast Crime: Drunk ex-boyfriend allegedly assaults woman with a case of beer

Aggravated Assault

Gough St., 1600 block, Aug. 19, 3 p.m. A police officer observed a man picking up a bottle and throwing it at another man, who dodged it and was not hurt. The suspect was arrested.
N. Glover St., 600 block, Aug. 22, 3 p.m. A woman told police that she and her boyfriend had an argument about breaking up. During the fight, he sprayed her with chemical “Mace.” The woman reports that his daughters then began punching her and kicking her. Next, she said the suspect threatened her with a knife or box cutter and said he would blow up her house. He fled in his car with his daughters. A warrant was issued for his arrest.
E. Baltimore St., 2000 block, Aug. 22, 8:11 p.m. A man reported that a suspect claiming to work for BGE came to his house and said he needed to see his meter. The suspect told the man he needed to also see the electrical panel. After seeing the panel, he pulled out a revolver and, after a brief struggle, struck the man in the head with it. The suspect was wearing a safety vest and a hard hat. According to the victim, he was a black male between the ages of 25-30 and about five foot eight and 150 lbs.
Granby St., 1000 block, Aug. 23, 3:11 p.m. A man told police that after he came home from a bar, his fiancée approached him with a kitchen knife. He grabbed her by the arm and pushed her against the wall, bruising her lip. The man got cut on the hand. His fiancée was arrested.
E. Fayette St., 1300 block, Aug. 24, 3:00 p.m. An attendant at a gas station reports that three males came to the gas station to buy cigars. When he asked for I.D., they began to yell. They went outside, got a brick and threw it at the plexiglass and fled. The attendant was not hurt.
S. Broadway, 100 block, Aug. 25, 5:40 p.m.  A woman told police that she and her ex-boyfriend got into an argument. During the argument the woman said her ex-boyfriend brandished a knife and placed it near her throat. The victim sustained no injuries, and the suspect was arrested.
S. Caroline St., 700 block, Aug. 25, 2:30 p.m.  A man told police he was walking near the 700 block of Caroline St. when a black SUV drove by and the occupants began yelling profanities at him and threw a brick at him, hitting him in the head. The victim was taken to the hospital and sustained a non-life-threatening head injury.
E. Baltimore St., 3200 block, Aug 25, 2:40 a.m. A woman told police that she was walking home with a friend when she ran into her ex-boyfriend. The two got into a heated argument about her being at a nightclub. The woman said her ex-boyfriend, who was highly intoxicated and carrying a case of beer, hit her in the face with the case of beer and fled. He was arrested.
McElderry St., 2900 block, Aug. 25, 5:27 p.m.  An officer responded to a walk-in shooting victim at Johns Hopkins Hospital. The victim stated that while walking a suspect wearing a black mask approached him from behind and started shooting, striking him in the ankle and continuing to shoot him while he was on the ground.

S. Washington St., 600 block, Aug.19, 2:14 p.m.  A man told police that he was walking when a suspect approached him and racked the slide on a black handgun while pointing it at him and the suspect said “Give me your money.” The man gave the gunman his cell phone and cash.
Eastern Ave., 2300 block, Aug. 20, 5 p.m. A homeless man told police that two young men jumped him, took his $50, and punched him in the eye. The injury required transport to the hospital.
Foster Ave., 3100 block, Aug. 19, 3 p.m. An elderly man told the police that he was sleeping on his bed in the living room when he heard a loud noise and someone threw clothing over his face. Next he heard two men talking and asking where his money was. He told told them where to look. They stole $3,000 and fled. The victim believes they gained entry by forcing open the rear door. The victim did not see the suspects.
N. Lakewood Ave., 100 block, Aug.  20, 5:03 p.m.  A man told police that while he was walking a suspect approached him and pulled out a gun and asked for his money. A second suspect approached him and took some of his property. The suspects fled. The victim observed the first suspect throwing away the gun. It was later recovered and one suspect was arrested.
Erdman Ave., 6000 block, Aug. 24, 5:45 p.m. A security officer at Crazy Ray’s junkyard stopped a suspect who was putting parts in his pockets. When the suspect was stopped he became irate and hit the officer in the head with his fist. The suspect was arrested.
Lancaster St., 1600 block, Aug. 24, 12:18 a.m.  A man reports that he was walking along the 1600 block of Lancaster St. when he was approached from behind by a suspect with a black handgun who asked for his money.  No injury occurred.
Albemarle St., 200 block, Aug. 25, 1:40 a.m. A man reports that a group of males approached him while he was walking home. Some pulled out knives, threw him to the ground, and cut him. They took $403 dollars.
S. Clinton St., 400 block, Aug. 25, 11:55 p.m. A man told a police officer that he had just been robbed of his scootter and was not hurt. The victim rode with the officer to locate the suspected thief, who was known to the victim. The victim told police that the incident had occurred earlier, when he had rode his scooter to a bar to meet the suspect. The suspect approached him at or near the bar and said, “I heard you were snitching.” The victim replied that he didn’t know what the suspect was talking about. At that time, the suspect yelled “Get off the scooter!” and pulled out a knife. The suspect was located and arrested, and the scooter was recovered.

N. Ellwood Ave., unit block, Aug. 19, 8 a.m. Police were told that a suspect jumped the fence and broke into a shed, stealing a bike.
N.Curley St., 400 block, Aug 19, 10:00 a.m.  An occupant told police that someone pushed in the basement air conditioning unit to gain access to the house and stole two wall-mounted TVs, a GPS unit, a video camera, and jewelry.
N. East Ave., 400 block, Aug. 21, 8:50 a.m. A man told police that during the 20 minutes it took him to go to the store, someone kicked in his rear basement door. No property was stolen.
N. Curley St., 400 block, Aug. 22, 5:45 p.m.  A man told police that someone broke the kitchen door and removed three T.Vs, a notebook, Playstation, games, jewelry,and school uniforms.
N. Curley St., 400 block, Aug. 22, 4:00 p.m. A man said he left his house secured on Aug. 22 and returned Aug. 25 to discover that the house had been broken into and ransacked. Two T.V.s were taken.
Duker Ct., 2300 block, Aug. 23, 8:00 p.m.  A man told police that someone jumped the rear fence, pushed in a window AC unit and entered the home, where they stole a T.V. and an undetermined amount of currency.
E. Baltimore St., 2500 block, Aug. 23, 9:30 p.m. A man reports that he failed to secure his garage door and unknown suspects entered and removed items from his vehicle including his wallet, laptop, iPad, watch, and GPS.

Larceny from Auto
Stolen from various cars parked in the SE district from Aug. 18 – Aug. 24 were a sander, six GPSs, a radar detector, watch, iPod, briefcase, laptops, wallets, clothing, Maryland tags, a handicapped parking placard, and a pet carrier.
