Southeast Crime (Web Exclusive Content): Man Robbed While Filling His Tank


Dundalk Ave., 1700 block, Oct. 21, 1:05 p.m. A man reported that three men approached him while he was standing on the block. One of them said, “Give me all your money.” The victim replied, “No.” The suspect pushed him to the ground, pulled out a sharp object, and cut him above the right eye. The other suspects joined in on the assault, and the fled without taking anything. One of the suspects was arrested during the investigation.

Pulaski Hwy., 3400 block, Oct. 21, 6:15 p.m. A young man told police that while walking, two men approached. One stated, “You’re not going anywhere,” and grabbed his wrist. The suspect removed the victim’s property, and the two suspects then fled on bikes.

Pulaski Hwy., 3100 block, Oct. 21, 6:48 p.m. A man told police that he had just paid for gas and was walking back to his car. A male suspect walked up and said, “Give me the money you just put in your pocket.” He then assaulted the victim, took his money, and fled.”

Rappolla St., 600 block, Oct.  23, 7:30 p.m. A man was walking the block when he was approached by another man known to him as “Deandre.” “Deandre” struck him in the mouth, busting his lip. When the victim tried to fight back, the other two men who were with “Deandre” joined in. They went into his pockets, took his money, threw his wallet back at him, and fled in an unknown direction.

Gusryan St., 400 block, Oct. 25, 7:25 p.m. A man told police that he met a friend, “Chico,” and when he got in his car, “Chico” pulled a gun and demanded his money. “Chico” then exited the car, got into a different one, and drove off.

O’Donnell St., 2900 block, Oct. 25, 10:35 a.m. A woman told police that while she was at the ATM, a suspect approached her from behind, shoved her into the cash machine, and took her money from her pocket before fleeing. She tried to follow him and lost him. During the investigation, the suspect was located at Friendship Academy. identified, and arrested.

E. Baltimore St., 2300  block, Oct. 26, 3:55 p.m. A man told police that while in Patterson Park, suspects approached him, jumped on his back, punched him, and took his backpack and property. During a canvas one of the suspects, a female, was located and arrested.

Eastern Ave., 4100 block, Oct. 26, 4:20 p.m. A woman told police that while she was walking, a male suspect ran up from behind, punched her in the face, and took her purse and looked through it after she fell to the ground. He didn’t take anything; then he fled.

S. Ellwood Ave., 200 block, Oct. 27. 6 a.m. An elderly woman told police she had secured her home and fell asleep on her living room couch. She woke up to see a man standing over her, demanding her purse. She gave him an envelope containing money, and he fled. He had gotten in by forcing the rear basement window.


N Kenwood Ave., 200 block, Oct. 22, 7:10 a.m. A woman reported that someone forced open her rear door and took a laptop, Wii game system, diamond ring, and bracelet.

N. Glover St., 400 block, Oct. 22, 8 a.m. A complainant reported that someone entered the property via the front door, went upstairs, and took a plasma TV, Nintendo DS, DVD player, and food. Workers on the property told the complainant that they say two people leaving by the back door, but they didn’t give a description.

S. Chester St., 400 block, Oct. 22 9 a.m. Someone broke into the church’s gift shop using a mug they took from the kitchen to break the glass door. They took $75 from the register and a DVD player. The video camera system for the church wasn’t working at the time.

Graceland Ave., 4700 block, Oct. 22, 10 :20 a.m. A woman was home in bed when she heard a loud noise. She went downstairs to find a strange man in her kitchen. He fled when she called the police. Nothing was taken, but her door was damaged.

Orleans St., 2400 block, Oct. 22, 10:25 p.m. A neighbor to a vacant house woke up to a loud noise. A blue pickup was leaving from the alley. There was a a fridge hanging out the window of the house and a stove in the yard that hadn’t been there before. The property was returned to the house; the owner couldn’t be located.

N. Port St., 100 block, Oct. 23, 8:30 a.m. A Dell laptop and purple Trek bike were stolen from a residence, which the suspect entered through a second floor bathroom window.

Bonsal st., 1400 block, Oct. 23, 8:30 p.m. A man reported that someone forced open the rear basement door and took 100 feet of copper wire and an A/C unit.

Watson St., 900 block, Oct. 23, 8:45 p.m. A woman heard a noise at her window and saw a man removing her screen. He was startled and fled.

N. Luzerne Ave., 500 block, Oct. 24, 12 p.m. The complainant said that someone forced the rear basement door, got inside, and took property.

N. Clinton St., 500 block, Oct. 25, 7 a.m. A woman told police that an unknown person kicked in her rear door and took property.

N. Ellwood Ave., unit block, Oct. 25, 7 a.m. A woman told police that someone forced open her rear door and took property.

N. Streeper St., 100 block, Oct. 25, 8:40 a.m. A man told police that someone forced his rear window and took property.

E. Pratt St., 3700 block, Oct. 27, 7:20 a.m. A man told police that a suspect entered through a broken kitchen window, waking him up in the process.

N. Glover St., 400 block, Oct. 27, 12:30 p.m. A woman said that someone forced her rear window, took property, and fled.

E. Baltimore St., 2000 block, Oct. 27, 1:30 p.m. A woman told police that her son’s father kicked in her front door and came in without permission. A warrant was obtained.

Aggravated Assault

O’Donnell St., 4800 block, Oct. 21, 11:20 a.m. A complainant reported that suspects grabbed a six pack of Red Bull and left the store without paying. The complainant tried to go outside and get their license plate number, and the suspects backed into the complainant and drove off.

McElderry St., 2100 block, Oct. 22, 8 p.m. A boy told police that his cousin shot him three times in the leg with a BB gun. Police arrested the cousin.

N. East Ave., 500 block, Oct. 23, 9 p.m. A woman told police that her boyfriend came home and assaulted her with punches. He grabbed a kitchen knife when she got away. She ran outside and hid under a car. He couldn’t find her, so he left.

Cleveland Ave., 6500 block, Oct. 24, 10:50 a.m. The victim’s mother’s boyfriend reportedly assaulted her with a fishing rod and then sat on her with all of his weight. The victim’s mother called the police, and he fled.

Aliceanna St., 1400 block, Oct. 24, 5:22 p.m. A woman told police that as she was dropped off by a cab, the driver refused to give her her change from a $20 bill for a $17.40 fare. She told him she was calling the police. He drove over her foot and didn’t stop. A warrant was issued.

S. Broadway, 200 block, Oct. 24, 8:49 p.m. A woman was sitting when another woman walked down the block. The first woman said that the second woman looked “handsome” and “like a man.” Probably offended, the second woman sprayed the first with chemical mace. The first woman was not cooperative with police.

S. Conkling St., 200 block, Oct. 26, 1:18 p.m. A man told police he was walking when suspects approached him from behind. One hit him with a wooden board or stick, cutting his head open.
