There will be street closures and parking restrictions in effect for the Columbus Day Parade.
The parade will step from Key Highway and Light Street at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 9. It will proceed north on Light Street, east on Pratt Street, south on President Street and east on Fleet Street where it will disband along Central Avenue.
In preparation for the event, the following streets will be closed to through traffic on Sunday, Oct. 9 with parking prohibited:
Westbound Key Highway between Covington and Light Streets from 12:30-4 p.m.
Fleet Street between President Street and Central Avenue from 12:30-5:30 p.m.
Northbound Light Street between Key Highway and Pratt Street from 1:45-5 p.m.
Pratt Street between Calvert and President Streets from 1:45-5 p.m.
Southbound President Street between Pratt and Fleet Streets from 1:45-5 p.m.
Motorists traveling in this vicinity may encounter delays and should be on the watch for pedestrians.
