Delegate Shawn Z. Tarrant (D-40) issued a letter of withdrawal today for HB938, the House of Delegates version of a bill that would extend the operating hours of some strip clubs in the city.

The issue is very much alive in the State Senate, however, where SB543, as introduced by lead sponsor Verna Jones-Rodwell (D-44), would allow customers to order drinks till 2 a.m. and consume the drinks till 3 a.m.
The strip bars would close at 3 a.m.
If passed in the Senate, the bill would cross to the House of Delegates for action.
