Victims robbed at gunpoint in Canton, Greektown, etc.

Robbery
S. Bond St., 400 block, Aug. 17, 9 a.m. The victim said that he and the female suspect were at his home drinking when she asked for some money. He said no, and she got up and took $300 from his wallet in his bedroom and tried to leave. He tried to stop her, and she maced him in the face and fled.
N. Collington Ave., 100 block, Aug. 17, 9:30 p.m. The victim said that he had just parked when the male suspects approached, punched him in the face, took his keys, located his car, and drove off.
Gough St., 3100 block, Aug. 18, 12 a.m. The victim said that he was riding his mountain bike when a male suspect came out from between two cars and pointed a gun at him. Another man appeared and displayed a knife. The man with the gun gestured for the victim’s wallet and slapped him in the face. The victim handed over his wallet, and the suspect with the knife stabbed him in the lower back and pushed him. The victim ran home and called police. He was transported to the hospital.
S. Potomac St., unit block, Aug. 18, 12:15 a.m. The victim said he is a cab driver and had double parked to use his friend’s bathroom. As he knocked on the door of the location, two suspects approached from behind and demanded his keys. As he turned, he saw that one of the suspects was armed with a gun. The suspects took his keys, cash and phone and drove off in his cab.
S. Lehigh St., 500 block, Aug. 18, 12:55 a.m. The victim said he was walking in the block when a male suspect approached from behind and demanded his cash. The victim turned to see that the suspect was pointing a silver handgun at him. The victim took out his wallet and was about to hand over the cash when a second suspect approached and demanded he hand over the whole wallet. The victim ran away, observing the suspects knock on a door and walk north.
Toone St., 6100 block, Aug. 18, 10:05 p.m. The victim said he was making a delivery when the young male suspects approached. One of them pointed a gun at him and demanded money. The victim complied, and also handed over his cell phone when the suspect demanded it. The suspects then fled.
Eastern Ave., 6500 block, Aug. 19, 12:06 a.m. The victim said that the suspect entered the location, walked to a teller, and passed her a white envelope, on which was written a demand for $40,000 in $50- and $100-dollar bills, with no dye pack. The teller called to her manager, who looked at the note, pushed it back, and said that she didn’t have that amount of money. The suspect took the envelope, exited out the back, and fled.
N. East Ave., 100 block, Aug. 20, 1:50 a.m. The victim said he had just left the bar when the suspects approached him from behind, and as he turned around he was punched and fell to the ground. The suspects took his property and continued to assault him before fleeing.
S. Patterson Park Ave., unit block, Aug. 20, 9:45 p.m. The female victims said that they were walking when the male suspects approached, jumped on top of them and knocked them to the ground, and took their bags and fled in different directions.
Anglesea St., 1400 block, Aug. 20, 11:40 p.m. The victim said he was making a delivery and there was no answer at the door. He was walking back to his car when a juvenile male suspect approached, and then two more approached, all wearing bandanas over their faces. The first suspect, with a gun, demanded the victim’s money, and started reaching into his pockets.
Thames St., 1800 block, Aug. 22, 1:02 a.m. The victim was walking in the Thames St. Park when the male suspects punched and kicked him and took his phone and cash.
Foster Ave., 2400 block, Aug. 22, 12:30 a.m. The victim was walking home when he was grabbed from behind by one of two suspects, who placed what the victim believed was a gun to his head. “Don’t be stupid and don’t say a word,” said the suspect, and the victim handed over his wallet as the second suspect went through his pockets and took his keys and phone. A suspect was arrested in this case.
Maple Ave., 6600 block, Aug. 22, 2:21 a.m. The cab driver said he was robbed inside his cab at gunpoint after picking up two suspects who asked to be driven to the location. Upon arrival, one suspect got out and left; the other pointed a handgun at the victim’s head and demanded his property. The victim handed over $80.
Hudson St., 3300 block, Aug. 22, 2:28 a.m. Three men reported that they were robbed moments after being dropped off by a cab. One of the suspects produced a gun and demanded their property, while the other went through their pockets and took money, credit cards and cell phones. They fled on foot. Later that evening, Western District officers pulled over a vehicle and found the driver in possession of some of the victims’ property. An arrest was made. The same man was arrested in this case and in the Foster Ave. case above.
N. Kresson St., 100 block, Aug. 22, 2:50 a.m. The business owner said that the suspect entered via an unsecured front door and attacked him with a hammer, hitting him several times in the back and head and causing him to fall to the ground. The suspect demanded the victim’s money and his wallet; the victim replied that he had no wallet. The suspect displayed a handgun and told the victim he was going to kill him. He tried to pull the trigger, but it would not fire. The suspect fled.
S. East Ave., 200 block, Aug. 22, 2 a.m. The victim was walking home when the suspects approached. One of them hit the victim and knocked him to the ground; One of the suspects then stabbed the victim in the lower back. They took his wallet and a blue lunch bag that contained his medications. They fled on foot: the victim was taken to the hospital. An arrest was made in this case, the same man as in the Hudson St. and Foster Ave. incidents above.
S. Macon St., 600 block, Aug. 22, 3:30 a.m. The victim said he was approached by the suspects, one of whom displayed a gun, pointed it at him and demanded money. He started to run and was grabbed by the suspects, who hit him in the eye and head. At this point, neighbors came out to see what was going on. The suspects fled; no property was taken. Arrested was the same man as above.
Boston St., 2600 block, Aug. 22, 9:25 p.m. The female victims were walking when approached by the female suspect, who asked for directions and a light before spraying one of them with mace. The victim fell to the ground, and her companion tried to help her, but she was also overcome by the mace. The suspect took took the victims’ property and fled to a waiting car, which fled the scene.

Burglary
Roberts Pl., 3600 block, Aug. 17, 12:30 a.m. The victim said he left his home to go to the store, leaving the rear door unsecured. He came home to find that unknown persons had entered and taken his property.
N. Broadway, 100 block, Aug. 19, 7 a.m. The victim said that an unknown person entered the unsecured front door, gained entry, took property and left.
S. Oldham St., 800 block Aug. 18, 4 p.m. The victim said that someone entered via an unsecured window, took copper pipes, and fled.
S. Lakewood Ave., 700 block, Aug. 21, 2:45 p.m. The victim said that when she came home, she found that someone had opened the unsecured rear door, come inside, found the unlocked safe, opened it, and took her money.
Granby St., 1000 block, Aug. 21, 2:30 p.m. The victim said that someone entered his unsecured garage, took a bike, and fled.
S. Chester St., 400 block Aug. 23, 3 a.m. The victim said that someone came in via an unsecured front door and took electronics, camping gear and a backpack containing head phones, car keys and a kit bag.
S. Clinton St., 500 block, Aug. 23, 7:15 a.m. The victim said that someone gained entry via a bathroom window and took electronics, jewelry, credit cards, gift cards and cash before fleeing the scene.
